Winter poetics...

Winter Trees...

My eyes spy unclothed trees
Inbetween their long, lithesome branches
That reveal bare, beautiful curves

and...

Winter's First Snowfall...

I stand at my windowsill
Gazing ecstatically upon
Winter's first snowfall
Nature's true Winter call

Oh what tremendous joy
My heart does feel
As I say blessed be to that
Which brings us such beauty

So I put on my coat
Step dizzily outside
Raise up my hands
Spin round and round
Watch the snow fall
Down to the ground

As it falls down
I try to see each flake
Since they are like us
All very different
But equally the same

and...

Winter's Icicles...

I gaze in amazement
At the delicate icicles
Hanging from the trees
Glistening with lucid life

For one brief moment
I am suspended in time
Able to let go of my strife
By seeing how they dazzle
With unknowable wisdom
Of being able to just be

As I look more deeply
My eyes wondrously see
The full moon catching them
At just the right angle
With just enough light
To give me a new view
Of how beautiful Winter is
By letting go of what is untrue

Winter's Ways... (winter abstraction poetics) ...

Posted at 05:43 PM on January 06, 2010 Comments comments (0)

Winter enters as Fall exits
Exits as Winter's ways enter

with...

Winter's glistening breath
exhaling...
Cold touches upon my skin

as...

Winter's first morning
enters...
Upon the rising sun

where...

Winter's solstitial hands
carve...
Delicate ice sculptures

while...

Winter's bare limbs
embrace...
Me with austere beauty

before...

Winter's arctic afternoon
arrives...
On icy winds waking me

with...

Winter's whites, blues and silvers
beautiful...
Shades that color my soul

while...

Winter's crisp ambience
chills...
My inflamed mind

before...

Winter's final evening
enters...
Upon the night's rising moon

then exits...

Winter exits as Spring enters
Enters as Winter's ways exit

Dance Your Essence..

Dance to see yourself
Dance to free yourself
Dance to be yourself
Dance your essence...

Dance your essence
Within your presence
Spin and twirl
Into a spiraling whirl

Dance your essence
Back into your presence
Around you spin
Back to lifes begin

Dance your essence
Beyond your presence
Close your eyes
As your body sighs

Dance your essence
Away from your presence
Free your being
With your 3rd eye seeing

Dance your essence
Outside your presence
Let yourself transcend
Beyond your mind's end

Dance your essence
Into your presence
Trance to be one
With the infinite sum

Dance your essence...

inspiration...

The inspiration that is inside of you causes you to find and seek it outside of you so that you can turn the intangible into the tangible for others to see and feel - Janice Marie Foote...

Leaves... (autumnal poetics) ...

Leaves are turning
Many shades of
....golds
........browns
............reds
And many colors inbetween
The earth and autumn sky

Their edges are curling
They're ready to fall
Down below my feet
Onto hushed sidewalks

Capriciously I will step on the fallen leaves
- C - R - U - N - C - H -
Is the sound that they will make beneath my shoes
The sound that since as a child I have always loved
On my way walking to and from school
Weighted down by candy and books
